Op 12 oktober 2023 promoveerde Edith Visser aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen op haar proefschrift getiteld ‘Diet and body composition in asthma: associations with clinical outcomes and inflammatory markers’. Dit promotieproject was een samenwerking tussen Campus Fryslân en het Medisch Centrum Leeuwarden, en werd begeleid door promotor prof. dr. H.A.M. Kerstjens en copromotoren dr. A. ten Brinke, dr. K. de Jong en dr. T. van Zutphen. In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste bevindingen besproken.
